HOTEL
Our award winning boutique hotel was constructed in 1902. The hotel occupies three spacious buildings clustered around a cobbled courtyard. Located in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes, the Flandrien has been described as the “ultimate place for cyclists” and featured in publications such as The Guardian and Cyclist Magazine. The Clubhouse is the heart of our cycling community where you can meet other guests, watch events on the big screen and try a selection of Belgian beers. We also have secure bike storage, bike and clothes washing facilities and a fully equipped Service Course & workshop.
THE ROOMS
Unlike larger hotels in the area, the Flandrien prides itself on personal service and a “home away from home” atmosphere. Our rooms are spacious and stylish with power showers, WiFi, crisp linen and comfortable mattresses. Every room is uniquely decorated with cycling art. You can arrive as early as 10am & checkout time is 3pm for guests who book via our website (otherwise 12pm) – so you can always ride on the final day of your stay.
FLANDRIEN CHALLENGE
The Flandrien Hotel is the best location for those taking on the Flandrien Challenge, with all Challenge routes easily accessible. Cyclists can start their ride without long transfers, saving time and energy. Staying with us while completing the Challenge provides complete peace of mind.
The Flandrien Challenge, invites cyclists to conquer 59 iconic bergs and cobbled sections. Participants who complete the challenge earn the prestigious title of “Flandrien” and have their name engraved on a cobblestone at the Tour of Flanders Museum.
HIRE BIKES
Guests who stay with us receive a 30% discount on bicycle rentals. We have a fleet of road, gravel and e-bikes from brands such as Cannondale and Canyon. All bikes are fitted with large volume tyres and wide-range gears. Cobbles are very tough on bikes and we are the only rental bike location in the region to offer a road-side replacement service in case of mechanical mishaps, giving you complete peace of mind. For non-guests we can arrange extended rentals and bike delivery.
BICYCLE GALLERY
Our bike collection has been described as perhaps “the best in the world” by Cyclist Magazine and includes bikes from riders such as Tom Boonen, Fabian Cancellara and Mathew Hayman. We have a photo exhibition by the respected Cycling Photographer Kristof Ramon, and a Pop-Art collection by John Mettepenningen which celebrates the lives of Flemish and international cycling legends.
